Rice paddy stew and saigon tea

The thing that war brings to those who have gone to battle and survived is how did my life change? Post-traumatic Stress Disorder has been with me over 57 years and I still deal with those demons of sleepless nights, intrusive dreams, and reliving the hard times over and over. This website is here for those who served and come home and feeling loss, fear, relationships become difficult. How did I learn to deal with it? How did writing help and change me. I have written a book that really brought about all of those issues and helped me continue to survive. I have written a book entitled Rice Paddy Stew and Saigon Tea that deals with the issues of going to and surviving a war. To coming home and finding that I brought the war home with me. What were the challenges, how was I able to adapt to the things I faced? I have been told that this book and story has helped a lot of people just like me who go off to war and then come home with wounds to the mind and the heart. There is hope and a thing called Post-Traumatic Healing will kick in if you are open to it and willing to work on making things better for yourself and those that you love.

PTSD
No apologies

PTSD-No Apologies is a powerful anthology of personal stories and poems. Many of the stories were written by those whose lives have been affected by PTSD. Collectively, they demonstrate what happens when an individual has been exposed to horrifying situations that stick in the memory…refuse to leave…and are constantly relived again and again. The affect on every day lives for those veterans who have been afflicted by PTSD are devastating, long lasting, and extremely disabling. Medicine needs to work tirelessly to discover more effective methods that will give caregivers more tools to properly treat this disease so that those who suffer from it will be able to regain their ability to function and move on with their lives.
