Hello, my name is Kerry “Doc” Pardue. I grew up in Detroit and the south-side of Chicago. I went to college for a year and stopped to make some money and got a draft notice. I ended up in the Army and I was trained as a combat medic. I served with three units in Vietnam, two small aviation units for a short time then was sent to the 2/47th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division where I served out my remaining seven months. I married my pen-pal after coming home and we have been married going on 55 years. Three children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren later I find myself in Arizona living just outside of Phoenix. I did go back to college and graduate with a BA degree. I have had three different careers and loved everything I did from being a police officer/detective, letter carrier for post office, to being a college recruiter for a large vocational college. I am a writer, paint some, and learning to play guitar. I teach a creative writing course as a volunteer.
